  • "The thought of an end"

Wood, acrylic paint, spray paint, hot glue, paper, air-dry clay, 2024.

Under the theme “visual protest”, I explored the idea of protesting death not as a negative event, but rather as an opportunity for new beginnings; to reflect on the gratitude held for the soul who has passed on.

  • "Bubble mouf"

Plaster, acrylic paint, glitter, clear varnish, 2024.

Adding roma plastilina to a found object, I created these bubble-filled bass using a mold made from silicone caulk, exploring various methods of creating 3d sculptures.

  • "I Think its Beautiful"

Colored acetate, paint markers, string, flashlight, 2024.

Creating an object with the ability to cast a 2d image, this displays my own visual representation of self-journey through personal symbolism.

  • "Egg Maker"

Celluclay, acrylic paint, varnish, thrifted pan, 2024.

Exploring nostalgia once again, I was thinking of when I was growing up; my mom would make breakfast, she would always call me her “egg maker,” calling me downstairs when it was time for eggs. (This ended up giving me a great reputation for making eggs throughout my family.)

  • "That was my room"

Cardboard, acrylic paint, colored acetate, felt, air-dry clay, fabrics, paint marker, paper, canvas, 2024.

Minature 3d model of my childhood room, inspired by themes of nostalgia. Growing up my room/house was a safe space for me; I had lived there my entire life until moving to college, so it quicky became very personalized.

  • "Buggy Frames"

Dead beetles, acrylic paint, dried flowers, crystals, found frames, fabric scrap, 2024.

Having wanted to experiment with bugs/beetles in my art, I wanted to start by giving these beautiful and often overlooked creatures their own spotlight, giving you no choice but to appreciate their individuality and details.
